CEDD Signed Contract for Tung Chung New Town Extension – Tai Ho Interchange

The Civil Engineering and Development Department signed a contract of about HK$ 1,188 million on 12 October 2021 with Build King Civil Engineering Limited for carrying out infrastructure works under the Tung Chung New Town Extension project.
The works mainly include:
- construction of Tai Ho Interchange connecting North Lantau Highway, Road P1 and Cheung Tung Road;
- construction of a section of dual two-lane Road P1 between Tung Chung East and Tai Ho Interchange;
- laying of fresh water, salt water and sewage rising mains; and
- associated civil, geotechnical, slope, structural, drainage, electrical and mechanical and landscaping works.
The works commenced on 15 October 2021 for completion in 2026.
