CEDD Signed Contract for Tung Chung New Town Extension – Siu Ho Wan Fresh Water Service Reservoir and Associated Mainlaying Works

The Civil Engineering and Development Department signed a contract of about HK$ 383 million on 21 July 2021 with China Geo-Engineering Corporation for carrying out infrastructure works under the Tung Chung New Town Extension project.
The works mainly include:-
- Construction of Siu Ho Wan Fresh Water Service Reservoir with storage capacity of about 64,600 cu.m;
- Construction of an access road from Siu Ho Wan Water Treatment Works to Siu Ho Wan Fresh Water Service Reservoir;
- Laying of about 1,500 m long fresh watermains;
- Site formation and slope stabilization works; and
- Associated civil, geotechnical, structural, building services systems, electrical and mechanical engineering and landscaping works.
The works commenced on 15 July 2021 for completion in 2024.
