CEDD Awarded the Consultancy Agreement for Road P1 (Tai Ho – Sunny Bay Section), Lantau – Investigation

The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) signed a consultancy agreement of about HK$28 million on 24 June 2021 with AECOM Asia Company Limited for the investigation of Road P1 (Tai Ho – Sunny Bay Section), Lantau.
The consultancy agreement mainly comprises the investigation study and the preliminary design for the Road P1 (Tai Ho – Sunny Bay Section) that mainly consists of the following works components:
- a carriageway of approximately 9.5 km long that extends from the Tai Ho Interchange to Sunny Bay and connects to the North Lantau Highway and the proposed Route 11, which involves viaduct(s), tunnel(s) and reclamation works; and
- the associated building, civil, structural, marine, electrical and mechanical, landscaping, and environmental protection and mitigation works.
The consultancy is scheduled for completion by 2023.
