What's New - CEDD Signed Contract for Tung Chung New Town Extension – Site Formation and Infrastructure Works at Ma Wan Chung 2021-05-24

The Civil Engineering and Development Department signed a contract of about HK$ 786 million on 24 May 2021 with Build King – Richwell Civil Joint Venture for carrying out site formation and infrastructure works under the Tung Chung New Town Extension project.

The works mainly include:-

1. Widening of Tung Chung Road North;
2. Re-provisioning of existing Tung Chung Community Services Complex;
3. Site formation works for Tung Chung Area 23;
4. Construction of carpark at Ma Wan Chung;
5. Carry out road improvement works and drainage works at Chung Yan Road;
6. Construction of open space at Tung Chung Area 29A and the coastal pedestrian access;
7. Associated civil, geotechnical, structural, building services systems, electrical and mechanical engineering and landscaping works; and
8. Implementation of environmental mitigation measures, environmental monitoring and audit programme for the works mentioned above.

The works commenced on 12 May 2021 for completion in 2025.
